Job Description

A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available in Bridgeport, CT, serving an elementary school caseload. This contract role is for the full school year, offering a 32.5-hour workweek, perfect for professionals seeking a dynamic educational environment focused on pediatric occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for elementary students.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed, ensuring compliance with school policies and educational goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
  • Participate in team meetings, consultations, and parent communications to support student success and inclusion.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently.
  • Familiarity with educational regulations and school-based therapy practices.
