Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in an elementary school setting for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, in-person contract position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload across pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, providing essential therapeutic services to support student development and educational success.

Location: Auburn, WA
Assignment Duration: September 3, 2025 June 16, 2026
Work Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Caseload: Approximately 50 students, ages Pre K-12
Work Setting: Elementary School (in-person only, no virtual option)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to support students functional skills and participation in educational activities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Assist in evaluating student needs and progress, maintaining accurate documentation and reports
• Adapt therapeutic techniques to meet diverse student needs across a wide age range
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience working in healthcare and school-based settings preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students with varied needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to providing hands-on, in-person support and interventions
