Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to lead business development, sales strategy, and growth initiatives for a leading healthcare advertising agency. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in pharmaceutical advertising , including market access and payer communications , and has a proven track record of driving revenue, expanding client portfolios, and playing a key role in agency acquisition or sale .

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on accelerating agency growth through strategic partnerships, new business development, and expansion into new service areas and markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with the agency's vision and revenue goals.
  • Lead all aspects of business development, including pipeline generation, pitch strategy, and closing new accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities across pharma, biotech, and life sciences, with a focus on HCP, DTC, and market access communications.
  • Build and nurture senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and growth partner.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and competitive positioning.
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge to identify emerging trends, white space opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • Play a key role in preparing the agency for acquisition or investment, including due diligence, valuation support, and positioning.
  • Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to elevate brand visibility and thought leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising, with a strong focus on business development and market access.
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and expanding client portfolios.
  • Experience in agency M&A, including preparing for or participating in a successful sale or acquisition.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical marketing, payer strategy, and healthcare communications.
  • Strong network of industry contacts across pharma, biotech, and healthcare sectors.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
