Job Description

A well-known company in NYC is actively seeking a Legal & Business Operations and Contracts Manager. This role oversees the commercial contracts process and other legal matters, including internal communications, and business process improvements. In addition to partnering with consultants on agreeing commercial terms with clients, this individual will support the firm's leadership team, working closely with HR, Finance and Technology, and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The role offers above market compensation, a hybrid schedule, fantastic benefits, and long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Own end-to-end management of Contracts process, including terms review (in adherence to the
firm's core principles), contracts execution; contracts management (compliance, conflicts, risk management)
* Works directly with clients and leadership team to negotiate Master Agreements and complex, non-traditional agreements

* Manage vendor contracts and participate in, or lead, negotiations (e.g., real estate, technology,
insurance, and professional services)
* Build and maintain systems to track client terms, deviations, off-limits and commercial data analytics
* Prepare high quality, professional and inspiring presentation materials and oversee data
collection/reporting for internal meetings
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to support compliance across employment, data privacy,
regulatory, and operational matters
* Liaise with external counsel when necessary
* Works closely with CFO, CHRO, CTO and Consultants to design and implement process
improvements that lead to efficiencies, improved data tracking, cost management


Qualifications & Key Attributes
* 5
+ years' professional experience in a legal or business operations role
* Bachelor's degree
* Skilled in reviewing and managing contracts and legal documentation
* Commercial, business-first approach to problem solving
* Operational mindset with experience building scalable systems and processes
* Strong communicator with excellent organizational and project management skills
* Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally in a dynamic environment
