Job Description

Summary:

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work for all plant equipment, ensuring optimal use of resources and continuous improvement in maintenance performance. This role collaborates closely with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams (internal and external) and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will define job scope and equipment availability with Operations
• Coordinate support services (e.g., scaffolding, rentals, tools)
• Estimate job durations and craft labor requirements
• The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will check material availability; manage procurement and inventory
• Maintain and update Preventive Maintenance tasks in SAP (CMMS)
• Collaborate with engineers for MOC-required work
• The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will track material deliveries and expedite when needed
• Support spare equipment refurbishment and job kitting
• Maintain job status and documentation in SAP
• The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will lead daily maintenance scheduling meetings
• Update and distribute work schedules using SAP
• Field verify work orders as needed
• Assist with physical inventory

Requirements:

• The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler must hold a GED/Diploma
• Must have SAP or CMMS experience
• Must have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in petrochemical/chemical manufacturing industry
• The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler must have 5+ years in maintenance planning
• Strong mechanical expertise and computer skills
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and team-focused

Preferred Experience:

• Isometric drawing capability
• Knowledge of lifting/rigging, E&I, predictive tech, and precision maintenance
