Broadcom Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Orbital Welding Installation Technician to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will support the installation of high-purity stainless steel piping systems and semiconductor equipment into existing cleanroom environments. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in TIG, Mig welding and either experience with, or the aptitude and willingness to be trained in, automated orbital welding of high-purity systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. Key Responsibilities include installing high-purity stainless steel piping systems using orbital welding equipment to meet semiconductor-grade standard; installing stainless steel, copper, and PVC piping systems per Broadcom design; performing TIG welding and preparation of stainless steel tubing per tool installation requirements and internal specifications; assisting in the layout and fabrication of piping routes based on isometric drawings and process flow diagrams (PFDs); working with various piping systems, including high purity piping, to ensure proper installation; certified welding (Stainless steel, PVDF, Poly, and PFA); collaborating with other team members and contractors to ensure installations are completed on schedule and meet all safety and quality standards; following cleanroom protocols and ensuring compliance with company and industry regulations; troubleshooting installation issues and providing timely solutions; maintaining a clean and organized work area; and creating and completing work plans prior to all installations. Qualifications include previous experience in welding, plumbing, construction, high purity piping; familiarity with semiconductor cleanroom environments is a plus; ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; excellent communication and teamwork abilities; ability to work in a physically demanding environment; 6+ years of experience in TIG welding, pipefitting, or high-purity mechanical installations; high school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
