POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of your job is to return patients to optimal physical function and facilitate achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community’s administration as well as Policies and Procedures.
Education & Responsibilities:
Employee must hold an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college.
Current and valid PTA license granted from state of employment.
Treats residents under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
Maintain appropriate accurate records on all residents on caseload.
Keeps Physical Therapist and other health team members appraised of resident’s progress and changes in function.
Modifies treatment program only under the direction of the licensed PT.
Experience :
Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but not required.
