Job Description

We are recruiting for a Welding Engineer to oversee the repair and fabrication of complex castings, ensuring the structural integrity and quality of components composed of materials such as cobalt, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloys.

Specially, this position will:

  • Develop, review, and maintain welding and process instructions, standards, and specifications for complex castings, utilizing advanced welding techniques
  • Lead and manage complex projects focused on manufacturing improvements, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Identify and implement key manufacturing processes to increase cost-effectiveness and quality
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure adherence to ISO and AS9100 standards
  • Ensure welds meet rigorous quality standards, including X-Ray, and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) utilizing tools such as failure analysis
  • Certify and recertify repair welders as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards

Candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgical Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, preferably in investment casting/aerospace applications
  • TIG repair welding of aerospace parts and components made from super alloy materials experience
  • Excellent mechanical and robotic aptitude.
  • Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, including X-Ray and FPI.
  • Familiarity with NADCAP certification processes
