Job Description

Waterloo School in Austin, Texas has an opening for a full-time high school Mathematics instructor beginning for the 2025-2026 academic year. Main duties are teaching high school mathematics courses in a project-based program in which students focus on only two subjects each trimester.

Our Math and Science curriculum tasks teachers to develop students with analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills and essential content understanding in order to create resources and solutions to technical problems, business opportunities, and social challenges. An unavoidable metric for math instruction includes students’ preparation for the SAT.  The qualified candidate will be able to teach Algebra I, and Algebra II, Statistics, and Pre-Calculus.

⭐ The successful candidate will have high self-understanding, interpersonal communication, self organization, and motivation to excel. Candidates should possess good judgment in handling confidential information. This position will regularly interact with students, parents, faculty, and administrators and requires strong interpersonal competency and the ability to build trust and rapport.

✔️  Committed Christian faith essential . Bachelors degree required. A sense of humor teenagers grasp is key. Seeking diverse faculty. Relevant experience needed in education or industry that demonstrates maturity, initiative, problem-solving, creativity, and a commitment to healthy interpersonal relationships and teamwork.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience: $45,000—$70,000.
