Job Description

Job Summary

SBA Portfolio Officer will be responsible for risk management of the SBA portfolio as well as underwrite SBA loans to GBC’S and US SBA policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and SBA underwriters to ensure all documents needed for underwriting and closing the loan have been received and reviewed.
  • Conduct financial spread and cash flow analysis.
  • Conduct SBA term loan review
  • Support the SBA team by following up on outstanding items, delinquent property tax, insurance policy, etc. to be following the terms of the loan
  • Assist to send out credit covenants reminders to SBA loan customers for collecting tax returns and financials for term loan review.
  • Process loan sales according to the Bank’s procedure and instruction
  • Comply with all BSA-related training and procedures.
  • May have other assignments as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must have some SBA underwriting experience.
  • Previous SBA work-related skills, knowledge or experience are required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
  • Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

Knowledge:

  • Computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
